Terse mode drops every label, so it speaks value alone. That is enough
for a value that names itself -- "2 inputs, 1 output", "15.0%" on a
chart with one whole -- and not for one whose meaning is in the label: a
share whose whole is named only there, a count of children, a list of
names that would run into the next list. Such an aside carries the
shortest clause that still does -- "71.4% of infrastructure", "2
children", "from In stock?" -- and terse mode speaks that instead.
