A word cloud is the canonical chart that carries real data while being readable only by eye: each term's weight is drawn as glyph size and written down nowhere on the page. MAIDR announces the number alongside the term.
The packing is chosen to fit glyphs into a rectangle and encodes nothing, so the reader walks the terms heaviest first rather than in layout order — and the highlight box follows onto the right glyph, rotated words included.
